Jasmine
ReplyDeleteJasmine is an evergreen semi-vining shrub native to tropical areas of Southeast Asia, Africa and Australia. The plants are usually up to 3 meters high and 2 meters wide.
Jasmine is a climbing vine with oval, shiny leaves and tubular, waxy-white flowers. It has small white star-shaped flowers. The Jasmine flower releases its fragrance at night after the sun has set and especially when the moon is waxing towards fullness, thus it is associated with soothing peaceful night-time moods. The leaves are oval rich green and have five to nine leaflets, each up to 2½ inches long.
The plant flowers from April to September. Jasmine is propagated by cuttings of nearly ripe wood in summer. Cuttings are planted in 3-inch pots within 4 weeks, then to 6-inches when pot is becoming filled with roots. The soil should be kept moist but well drained for optimum growth. Frequent pruning is required to grow it as a shrub of desired size. Pruning also helps keep an abundance of flowers, since flowers are produced on new wood. It grows in full sun to partial shade. Fertilize monthly with a balanced fertilizer.
Jasmine is now grown worldwide. In India some varieties are used as religious offerings symbolizing divine hope. Many Indian women wear garlands of Jasmine flowers in their hair. Jasmine Incense is used to balance male and female hormones.
It is also used as an aphrodisiac, for brain stimulant, calming, restoring balance and confidence, anti-depressive, and soothes headaches. The fragrant jasmine odor can be extracted and is one of the most widely used scents in the making of perfume. The flowers of Arabian jasmine, J. sambac, are used to scent and flavor tea. The nectar of the fragrant flowers of Carolina jasmine, Gelsemium sempervirens, is poisonous, although its dried roots are used in medicinal preparations as a sedative.

ReplyDeleteBirds are one of interesting flying animals. They can be found all over the world. There are various birds in the world. Some birds looks so beautiful, and some of them looks strong. Birds have two wings, it can help them to fly. They breath with their air pocket. And they have beak for eat. They have different beaks with different feeds. Some birds eat fish, seed grain, or meat according with their morphology. And according to their morphology, they have different habits too. Some of them live in land and the other live in water. They are vertebrates and warm blood animals. The female birds lay eggs, and save their eggs to hatch. And than, the female birds out to find food for their baby. After their baby birds become to birds, their children for flying. Birds usually make their nest in such a way to protect themselves from enemy attack. Usually birds fly in a group to confuse the enemy.

The Red Bird Of Paradise

This species shares its home with another bird of paradise, the Wilson's Bird of Paradise. Hybridisation between these two species are expected but not recorded yet.
The Red Bird of Paradise, Paradisaea rubra is a large, up to 33cm long, brown and yellow bird of paradise with a dark brown iris, grey legs and yellow bill. The male has an emerald green face, a pair of elongated black corkscrew-shaped tail wires, dark green feather pompoms above each eye and a train of glossy crimson red plumes with whitish tips at either side of the breast.
The male measures up to 72 cm long, including the ornamental red plumes that require at least six years to fully attain. The female resembles the male but is smaller in size, with a dark brown face and has no ornamental red plumes. The diet consists mainly of fruits, berries and arthropods.

ReplyDeleteParrots are exceptionally loyal animals, their fur is very soft and they are beautiful. Most importantly, they are very smart and a bird who always wanted to know.
Parrot happy to show off themselves and make a funny behavior with its wings spread, head up and down, dancing and shouting.
They are very active and curious about their surroundings.
Parrots are happy to spend time with the show or check out and play dolls or toys yag given in the cage.
Who own parrots, healthy growth as a pet if the master provides a lot of time and attention to him, playing and the feeling of love in everyday behavior.
However ideally have 2 parrots if the master does not have much time to play and give attention to the bird.
Two tailed cockatoo will help to prevent bad habits caused by birds are bored, such as squeaky voice and plucked feathers
The term of the parrot is in Malay language has two designations pincher and old father.

Many snakes protect themselves with their fangs. Boa Constrictors can give you a bear hug which is so powerful. It can crush every single bone in your body. Some snakes are protected by scaring their enemies away like the Cobra. The Flying Snakes glides away from danger. Their ribs spread apart and the skin stretches out. Its technique is just like the sugar glider’s.

Cats...There are many products availabe to buy for them. One very important purchase is the correct feeding bowl. Who would have ever thought there would be an issue with the type of feeding bowl for them to use.
ReplyDeleteWell there are health issues regarding the proper object used to feed them. Plastic bowls are cheaper, non breakable and colorful. All great attributes one can say. However, they can cause allergic reactions in your pet. Such as, rashes, itchiness, scratching,swollen lip, and general lethargy.
They can harbor harmful bacteria from old food particles not removed properly. Additionally, the material used to produce them can cause serious illnesses when continually licked by the cat's tongue.
The surface can get easily scratched. These scratches can hold harmful bacteria and germs that may breed in those tiny crevices, which again can make your cat sick. Plastic bowls requires more maintenance and should be changed frequently when the surface becomes scratched.
What should be used instead? Stainless steel, porcelain or ceramic bowls. My personal preference is ceramic bowls. They are affordable, easy to clean and safe for your pet to lick as it eats. After all we don't want to cause our cats any harm or create unnecessary vet bills for ourselves.

Cats...There are many products availabe to buy for them. One very important purchase is the correct feeding bowl. Who would have ever thought there would be an issue with the type of feeding bowl for them to use.
ReplyDeleteWell there are health issues regarding the proper object used to feed them. Plastic bowls are cheaper, non breakable and colorful. All great attributes one can say. However, they can cause allergic reactions in your pet. Such as, rashes, itchiness, scratching,swollen lip, and general lethargy.
They can harbor harmful bacteria from old food particles not removed properly. Additionally, the material used to produce them can cause serious illnesses when continually licked by the cat's tongue.
The surface can get easily scratched. These scratches can hold harmful bacteria and germs that may breed in those tiny crevices, which again can make your cat sick. Plastic bowls requires more maintenance and should be changed frequently when the surface becomes scratched.
What should be used instead? Stainless steel, porcelain or ceramic bowls. My personal preference is ceramic bowls. They are affordable, easy to clean and safe for your pet to lick as it eats. After all we don't want to cause our cats any harm or create unnecessary vet bills for ourselves.
